Candidates must have both Royal Caribbean experience (at least 2 cruises in the last 5 years and experience in another area of travel at least one trip in the last 5 years.
This is an independent contractor, at home online position. This can be done part time but we are looking for passionate people looking to earn certifications and help others book trips, not just for the perks/personal travel. There are no sales quotas, you can work from home or anywhere with an internet connection and you are your own boss. You can decide how much to book, what to sell and when to sell.

--Leads!: Leads from MinMin Travel's website, and multiple facebook groups! Ability to share the deals I find with your friends family and your own business pages. Once you complete training, you'll become an admin in my facebook groups and be able to market for clients in the groups. The owner receives many inquiries per day and cannot take all of them and will be happy to share them with his associates. -Commissions paid twice monthly via direct deposit, 7th and 21st of the month.
Costs: We are offer two different low cost membership plans, an Annual Plan which is the lowest cost option and a monthly plan. Keep in mind it usually takes a year or two to build a successful travel business and start receiving meaningful commissions so it makes sense to sign up for a yearly contract. Fees will decrease for succeeding years as agents gain experiences and sales! We offer a 100% free annual membership for agents that make $15,000 or more in annual commissions! This is unprecedented in the travel industry.
Annual Plan: $240 for the year (12 Month Contract). This is paid in full at the time of joining and includes a 20% discount from the monthly plan. Nonrefundable but no additional costs to cancel mid contract.
Monthly Plan: 80 dollars (one time) activation fee plus 20 dollars a month for 11 months. Total cost for the first year- $300
This plan allows for more flexibility, the $80 dollar activation fee is non refundable but the membership is month to month and you can cancel with 30 days notice and end the monthly charges.
In addition to these fees there are some other costs for doing business, as an independent contractor you are responsible for your own supplies/ internet/ tools needed for the role. The main expenses not included (paid annually) would be an electronic document signing platform for getting credit card authorization forms signed by clients (cheapest is about 240 per year with signeasy), the travel institute testing fee (one time fee) (95 dollars for Introductory travel agent exam, and 50 dollars per year for getting an Florida SOT waiver. So in essence with MinMin Travel total cost of 625-675 to start your own travel business in the first year! That is an amazing value, normal start up costs are typically 2,000 with LLC fees, higher membership fees, and liability insurance and monthly expenses with marketing, website, etc.
Fees for returning agents (2nd year and beyond)
Fees will decrease starting year 2. Fees are based on total commissions earned in the preceding 12 month period.
For agents with less than 5,000 commission earned in the previous 12 months: The annual fee is reduced from 240 to 144 total for the year (annual plan with 20% off) or 15 per month, for monthly plan (180 for the year total)
For agents with at least 5000-14,999 dollars in commission earned in the previous 12 months- The annual fee is reduced to 95 total for the year paid annually or 10 a month (for the monthly plan (120 a year)
For agents with at least 15,000 commission earned- Free Membership for 12 months, as long as at least 15,000 in annual commissions is earned, agents will keep their free membership.
Commission:
This is a 100% commission based role.
New agents without prior experience will start at 60% commission until they complete a new agent training program and pass the TAP Test with 70% or better.
Agents joining MinMin Travel will start at either 70 or 75% depending on experience and sales.
Advancement: Once the Introductory Travel Advisor program is completed with passing of the TAP exam (70% or better) agents' commission will increase from 60% to 70%. The program can be completed in 2-4 months on average but there is no deadline or requirement to complete the program. But there is an incentive to complete the Introductory Travel Advisor Education program as fast as possible, if the program is completed within 4 months of joining, the associate agent will receive 70% commission on all bookings made even during training. If the program is not completed within 4 months, then the associate will recieve 60% commission for trips booked while during the training period, then 70% once they have completed the course and passed the exam.
That is the base commission. There are further opportunities to gain higher commission levels based on specialization, productivity (number of bookings made in a year), and sales (amount of commissions earned in a year.
Personal Booking Commissions: For all agent's personal bookings, (agent must be the lead guest on the booking, they will receive 80% commission or 10% added to their base, whichever is higher. The training and TAP exam must be completed to recieve the bonus on personal travel.
Productivity Bonuses: For every 50 bookings an agent makes in a Calendar year, beginning January 1 and ending December 31, they will receive 5 bonus commission vouchers as follows. Agents can choose which bookings they would like to apply the vouchers to, they must enter their choice in the google doc provided to be paid the bonus commission. The bonus commission vouchers are only applicable to current agents of MinMin Travel. Up to 30 vouchers per year. The vouchers must be used within one year of being earned. There is a minimum average sales of $1000 per booking, example 50 bookings must be a minimum of 50,000 in sales (just to prevent a 50 dollar shore excursion to be counted as a booking)
50 bookings- 5 vouchers for 75% commission (0r bonus +5% commission on top of base )
100 bookings- 5 vouchers for 80% commission (Or bonus+10% commission on top of base)
150 Bookings- 5 vouchers for 85% commission (or bonus+15% commission)
200 Bookings- 5 vouchers for 90% commission
For each 50 bookings after 200, until 300 bookings is reached, the agent will receive an additional 5 vouchers for 90% commission.
90% commission is the highest an agent can receive (nexion takes 10%).
Further Opportunities for Higher Commissions- Become a Specialist!
Agents can specialize in an approved field, it must be unique to the agency and in a high demand field of travel. Examples but not limited to include Disney, virgin voyages, luxury cruises, all inclusives. In order to qualify as a specialist, they must have at least 3 personal travel experiences in that specialty in the last 5 years. To be approved for the specialist position, first reach out to the owner, Minoru Matthews with their proposed specialist field.
Once approved, the candidate should upload a document with the following.
For each the three experiences, in at least two paragraphs; list the travel dates, description of the trip, what you enjoyed, what you disliked and how this trip will help you in your future sales as an advisor. Upload 3 photos for each of the 3 trips as documentation in the document. Agents may have up to two specialties.
Specialist Benefits: Receive a discounted membership,
40 dollars off either the annual plan or monthly plan.
Start at Higher Commission- 70% in their specialty, even before new agent training is completed, (60% in all other areas of travel until training is completed, then 70%
Opportunities for higher commission in their specialty-
75% once 25 trips in their specialty is booked, specialist supplier training must be completed.
80% once 15,000 in commissions is earned in their specialty. Once earned these commission increases are permanent in the agent's specialty.
Commission Increases based on Sales: Earn up to 80% commission for all bookings.
Base commission for all bookings will be increased from 70 to 75% for a 12 month period if 15000 dollars in commissions is earned in the previous 12 month period.
Base commission for all bookings will be increased to 80% for a 12 month period if 30,000 in commissions is earned in the previous 12 month period. These increases are good for one year and the agent must maintain 15,000/30,000 in earned commission in the next year to maintain their 75/80% level respectively.
